As a Manager, prior to nominating a Practitioner, please note that the following knowledge, skills and experience are essential.

• working experience or knowledge of current child protection policy and procedures
• Previous experience of delivering training to staff/professionals

Knowledge of the following would be desirable.

• Rights of children and young people
• Child development
• Curriculum for Excellence

As a Practitioner, although full training will be provided we will ask for further information on your knowledge, skills and experience of the following:-

• Current Child Protection policy and procedures
• Rights of children and young people
• Working in or knowledge of early years settings
• Training delivery to staff or other professionals
